Are you feeling overwhelmed with planning and trying to remember ALL the things you need to organize and get done for a wedding? Do you wish someone would just tell you what to do? Like a wedding checklist?

Well look no farther, today is your lucky day!

My friends at the Barn at Kent Farms created this wedding planning checklist and they were gracious enough to share it with us! Isn’t that nice of them! I wanted to share it with all of you because they really thought of everything in this comprehensive checklist.

12 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Have a master plan binder, notebook or google doc
  • Make your first (of many) guest lists
  • Make a wedding budget
  • Find your wedding planner
  • Search for a wedding photographer (Check out Stina’s Artistic Visions)

10 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Start shopping for wedding attire
  • Research food choices, begin to book caterers
  • Shoot Engagement photos
  • Finalize your guest list
  • Design and order your Save The Dates

9 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Send out Save The Dates
  • Research wedding invitations

8 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Shop for florists
  • Book DJ or band
  • Book Officiant
  • Shop wedding cakes

7 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Book Florists if you haven’t yet
  • Research hair and make-up artists
  • Search for honeymoon destinations

6 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Think about rehearsal dinner options
  • Finalized guest list
  • et up meeting with officiant to discuss ceremony and counseling
  • Plan ceremony and vows
  • Set up wedding registry
  • Have a meeting with wedding planners and helpers to get on the same page
  • Schedule cake testing

5 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Book the honeymoon
  • Rent or buy suits
  • Reserve wedding tent if you need one
  • Schedule hair and make up artists
  • Reserve hotel blocks for guests and wedding party

4 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Finalize rehearsal dinner
  • Buy wedding rings
  • Order wedding invitations and stationary
  • Make sure passport is up to date
  • Book wedding transportation
  • Create spreadsheet for RSVP’s

3 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Mail wedding invitations
  • Planning wedding ceremony script
  • Start DIY projects
  • Schedule dress fittings
  • Research local marriage license, civil union and domestic partnership rules

2 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Work on wedding vows
  • Make sure wedding party has outfits
  • Pick out rehearsal dinner outfits
  • Create packing list for honeymoon

6 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Start wearing shoes around the house to break them in
  • Update gift registry
  • Confirm out of town guests have found lodging
  • Get guest book
  • Write thank you’s for shower gifts
  • Finalize your vows
  • Make sure wedding outfits are on point
  • Finalize meu
  • Finalize wedding ceremony plans

4 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Put together seating chart
  • Finalize ceremony outline
  • Create wedding timeline
  • Make nail and spa appointments
  • Create wedding playlist
  • Schedule final dress fitting
  • Confirm rentals

2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Check with guest that did not RSVP
  • Confirm head counts, menus, and delivery times
  • Confirm photo requests and timeline with photographer
  • Confirm rentals, flowers, cake deliveries
  • Plan for venue set up and take down

1WEEK BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Pack overnight bag, don’t forget toothbrush, sleepwear, outfit for the next day, honeymoon luggage and passports
  • et manicure or pedicure
  • Leave a copy of honeymoon plans with family and friends
  • Get wedding day emergency kit made
  • Pick up dress
  • ry on wedding outfit
  • Give vendors an emergency number to cll that’s not yours

1 DAY BEFORE YOUR WEDDING

  • Rehearse your ceremony and dinner
  • Confirm honeymoon transportation
  • Print or memorize vows
  • Drop off favors, menus, table plans, place cards to vendor or wedding planner

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

  • Just breathe and focus
  • Appreciate your family, friends and each other
  • Last and not least…… GET MARRIED!!

AFTER THE WEDDING

  • Send out thank you’s
  • Make sure vendors have been paid in full
  • Follow up with wedding photos and make sure you know how you will get those back
