How do you know who to pick for a wedding photographer? How much of your budget should you use on a photographer? Can I just get by with my friends best friends sister who knows someone?
We totally know how you’re feeling! You’re newly engaged and super pumped about planning your wedding. You’ve been working out your budget ironing out where everything is going to fall in line. Maybe you’re feeling a little unsure about what the order of importance is.
We believe that one of the most important pieces of your wedding are your photos!
Think about it… when tomorrow comes? What’s left of your wedding day? The food? The venue? The cake?
In 30 years from now, your guests are not going to remember what food you served at your wedding. (unless you do something unique like cotton candy or a taco food truck!)

What you will have are your wedding rings and your photos. You want your photos to last. You don’t want them to fade, or be mediocre.
So how do you pick a photographer that is right for YOU?
Not every photographer is a good fit for you.
Finding photographers who vibe with your personality, understand your vision, and produce epic imagery is essential to the outcome of your memories.
Your photographer will be with you ALL day. They will be with you in the most intimate parts of your day.
It is very important to pick a photographer whose personality you like.
It is the job of your photographer to get you to laugh and smile so that you do not look awkward and weird.
Pick a photographer who makes you smile.
Now personality is important, but you shouldn’t pick someone based solely on personality. At the end of the day, you want to have good images! You will need a photographer that knows how to pose you so you look flattering. (you don’t want any double chins like I had in my wedding photos)
Pick a wedding photographer that understands the basics of posing, lighting and composition.

Anyone can pick up a camera and tell people to stand somewhere. However, someone who has paid for education and has taken classes on posing and lighting will know how to pose you so that you look flattering! After all, you are paying a lot of money for your wedding and all the details. You want to look your best!
Pick a photographer that has paid for higher education.
(Yes, Stina HAS taken several extensive courses. In case you were wondering)
(Bonus, pick one that will straighten their images so they aren’t all crooked on the wall!)
Lastly, you need to look at the way your photographer edits. Editing style is very unique and part of a photographers art. If you don’t like the yellow sephia look…. then don’t pick a photographer that edits their photos that way.
Photographers aren’t going to change how they edit from wedding to wedding.
Pick a wedding photographer that edits the way you like.
Whether it be us, or another team, we want you to know how much you will NOT regret investing into this piece of your day! I hope these tips will help you pick the perfect photographer for you!

(I will also argue for your wedding dress in the ranks of importance, after all you will be wearing it in all of your images. So get that dress of your dreams!) and
Hire the best photographers in your budget.
In the end, the things that stay with you are your photo and your wedding rings.
Because my dear, you are so totally worth it!
Love ya!
